The paralegals listed below have met ore exceeded the aspiration in the NFPA Model Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Guidelines for Enforcement of contributing 24 or more hours of pro bono service during 2004. Each paralegal on the list received a Certificate of Achievement from NFPA in recognition of their commitment to pro bono work and access to justice in their local communities.
2000 - 52 paralegals (1,248 hours devoted to pro bono service)
2001 - 79 paralegals (minimum of 1,896 hours devoted to pro bono service)
2002 - 113 paralegals (minimum of 2,712 hours devoted to pro bono service)
2003 - 66 paralegals (minimum of 1,584 hours devoted to pro bono service)
2004 - 91 paralegals (approximately 5,474.25 hours devoted to pro bono service)
Congratulations to all for an outstanding effort and their commitment to pro bono and access to justice in their local communities. The NFPA Pro Bono Committee would not be able to report this information without the hard work and dedication of the local association pro bono leaders. Their dedication towards pro bono is appreciated (* indicates the local and national pro bono leaders)!
