Recommending its position on the preferred form of regulation; filing amicus briefs with judicial bodies in response to court actions; filing position papers in response to legislative and bar association actions; and exploring options to provide legal services at a moderate rate to individuals with low or moderate income.
Administration
Offering a server on the Internet; sponsoring Conventions, including educational sessions and policy meetings; sponsoring leadership training and development, and providing written materials to assist paralegals with everyday work issues.
Development of the Profession
Developing an exam to test the skill and competency of the advanced paralegal - PACE®; having a member on the American Bar Association's Approval Commission for paralegal education programs; having a member on the ABA Commission for Non-Lawyer Practice; and participating in Conclave meetings of allied legal associations.
